BOOK 1: THE KNIGHT

The Knight is a story that follows the rise of a young hero named Brandyn, who comes from the Wendover Lowlands. By a strange turn of fate, he becomes immersed into a world of high adventure.

Although Brandyn is incorruptible, he is full of dillusions about slaying dragons and rescuing damsels in distress. He is rudely awakened when he learns of the treachery in the king's court. He is forced to stand up to the wickedness and restore order, but he makes a powerful enemy. Brandyn also realizes that he has fallen in love with a beautiful girl from Wendover, but his enemy the ambitious Lucio, learns this and plots against him.

The challenges he faces as a squirre, and the crisis that ensues when he is knighted, will lead Brandyn away from his homeland and true love.

  1. Hello!

I was browsing over at the different blogs here at blogspot.com when I accidentally stumbled upon your blog page.

I have just finished reading your book, "The Right to Bear Arms and Mete Justice" the other day, and I found the story a bit slow paced, but never dragging. And it used flashbacks to explain certain points (such as some historical information about kings and castles)pertinent to the story. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading the book :)

On the otherhand, it was quite difficult remembering the names of people and various places found in the book (some of them seemed to have long and unique names!). I would often find myself going back a couple of pages just to get a reference on who or what is presently being referred to or talked about (like that part about Craigroyston and its monarchs). I hope the succeeding books would have fewer people or, better yet names or places that are quite easy to remember.

With regards to the main characters, I liked Lucio better than Brandyn.

Brandyn can get predictable sometimes. Lucio is deceitful , cunning and sleek. And he kept me guessing what his next plans were!

I would love to read the part II of this book. I would like to know what's up with April and Keveyn :)
